Born and Raised in Shelby
DR Roofing Solutions was not born in a boardroom — it was born in a garage, fueled by late nights, early mornings, and a deep love for this community. Our founder grew up right here in Shelby, Ohio. He walked the same streets, attended the same schools, and learned early on that a person's word is their bond.
After working for other contractors and seeing firsthand how the roofing industry too often let homeowners down — hidden costs, rushed jobs, promises that vanished like the crews — he decided there had to be a better way. In 2004, with nothing but a pickup truck and a single crew, DR Roofing Solutions was born.
From day one, the mission was simple: treat every roof like it was over your own family's head. Be honest about what needs fixing. Show up when you say you will. Stand behind your work no matter what. Two decades later, those same principles still guide every decision we make.

New Team Members Quickly Become Family
One thing we have learned over the years: a roofing crew is only as strong as the trust between its members. That is why we hire for character first, skill second. We can teach someone to install shingles. We cannot teach someone to care about the person living underneath them.
The turnover rate in roofing is notoriously high. Not here. Many of our crew members have been with us for five, ten, even fifteen years. Our Journey
A Dream in the Garage
It started with a single ladder, a pickup truck, and a deep belief that Shelby homeowners deserved better. Nights were spent learning every shingle type. Weekends were spent knocking on doors, promising quality, and delivering on that promise one roof at a time.
Word of Mouth Took Over
By year six, referrals had replaced cold calls entirely. Neighbors told neighbors, pastors told congregations, and the DR Roofing name became synonymous with honesty and reliability across Richland County.
Commercial Division Launched
Growth opened a new chapter — commercial roofing. Warehouses, churches, schools, and office buildings. The same family-run care, now applied to larger-scale projects with the same refusal to cut corners.
